Dental implant surgery
Single implants, several missing teeth, front teeth and full-arch treatment such as All-on-4, with the number of implants per arch set by planning and a 3D-printed guide where the case calls for it.
About three decades of practice in Russia, Syria and the UAE, now at Creative Arts in Jumeirah: implants, bone grafts, sinus lifts and surgical extractions, in operating rooms with anaesthesia from local to general.
Dr. Firas Osman has recently joined Creative Arts; this profile and his photo are new.

Dr. Firas Osman is an oral & maxillofacial surgeon and implantologist at Creative Arts Aesthetic & Dental Center in Jumeirah, Dubai. He graduated in stomatology from the Moscow Medical Stomatological Institute (1995), specialised in oral and maxillofacial surgery through the Syrian Ministry of Health (1999), and has practised for about three decades in Russia, Syria and the UAE. He plans and performs implant surgery, bone grafts, sinus lifts and surgical extractions.
Qualifications and dates as stated in Dr. Firas Osman’s own published professional profile.
Stomatology, the degree Dr. Firas Osman earned in Moscow in 1995, is the name used in Russia and much of Eastern Europe for the dental degree. His surgical specialisation followed in Syria in 1999, and his practice since has spanned Russia, Syria and the UAE.
At Creative Arts his work is the surgical side of treatment, alongside the clinic’s other dentists. Before surgery you need to understand what is proposed, its risks and the alternatives; as he speaks Arabic, Russian and English, many patients can discuss this in their first language.
The surgical stages of dental treatment, from a single implant to bone grafting and surgery planned with the orthodontists.
Single implants, several missing teeth, front teeth and full-arch treatment such as All-on-4, with the number of implants per arch set by planning and a 3D-printed guide where the case calls for it.
Socket preservation at extraction, ridge augmentation to rebuild width or height, and a sinus lift for the upper back teeth, by the crestal or lateral approach depending on how much bone is missing.
Broken, curved-root and impacted teeth, including wisdom teeth. A CBCT scan shows how close the roots sit to the nerve or the sinus before surgery is planned. See tooth extraction.
An impacted canine is uncovered so the specialist orthodontists can guide it into place. Jaw cysts are removed and the tissue is sent for histology; a hospital setting may be advised for a large cyst.
Orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery is assessed and planned at Creative Arts with the specialist orthodontists; the operation itself is performed under general anaesthesia in a hospital setting, and Dr. Firas Osman explains where. Jaw-joint problems start with conservative care after Dr. Valeriia Kozachenko’s TMJ assessment; his surgical opinion is added if that is not enough (TMJ treatment options).
Creative Arts has operating rooms equipped for dental and oral surgery. The anaesthesia is chosen for you and the procedure after a medical-history review.
| Option | What it involves | Often considered for |
|---|---|---|
| Local anaesthesia | The area is numbed and you stay awake. It is also used with every sedation option. | Most extractions, single implants, grafts |
| Laughing gas (nitrous oxide) | Breathed through a nose mask; calms you within minutes and wears off quickly. | Mild nervousness, shorter procedures |
| Oral sedation | A tablet before treatment; drowsy but responsive for hours, so an adult takes you home. | Anxious patients, longer visits |
| IV sedation | Sedation through a vein, adjusted during surgery; you breathe unaided and many people remember little. | Full-arch implants, several extractions |
| General anaesthesia | Fully asleep; given by an anaesthesiologist, with fasting beforehand. | Extensive surgery, or when sedation is unsuitable |
Sedation is given and monitored by an appropriately qualified, licensed clinician; fasting rules and an adult escort apply where relevant.

Implants are placed for the teeth that will sit on them, so surgery is planned backwards from the final crown or bridge, together with Creative Art Dental Lab in the same building.
Diagnosis and planning come first; surgery is booked only once you have a written plan.
Medicines (especially blood thinners and bone-density drugs), diabetes, smoking and any past anaesthesia.

Often, yes. Implant surgery is done in the clinic’s operating rooms under local anaesthesia, adding laughing gas, oral or IV sedation, or general anaesthesia given by an anaesthesiologist where appropriate. The choice follows a medical-history review; fasting and an adult escort apply where relevant.
Yes. If a CBCT scan shows too little bone, he may recommend socket preservation at extraction, ridge augmentation, or a sinus lift for the upper back teeth. Some grafts go in with the implant; others need several months of healing first.
Yes. A CBCT scan is taken when the roots may be close to the nerve, and the tooth is removed under local anaesthetic, with sedation available if you are anxious. Swelling usually peaks on the second or third day and settles within about a week.
He assesses and plans corrective (orthognathic) jaw surgery with the specialist orthodontists, who align the teeth before and after it. The operation itself is performed under general anaesthesia in a hospital setting, and he explains where and what recovery involves.
