"We'll see on the day"
If the answer to "When do I see the design?" is the preparation visit, the irreversible step comes before your approval.

No ranking has examined your teeth. These nine checks can be verified by you, at any clinic, before a single tooth is prepared. At the end, we answer each one for Creative Arts.
Bring these nine checks with you. The first consultation is free and nothing is prepared on that day.

Designed in the clinic and made by hand in Creative Art Dental Lab, in the same building in Jumeirah, Dubai.

There is no official ranking of veneers clinics in Dubai, and no clinic can fairly give itself the title. Choose with nine checks you can verify: the dentist's DHA licence on Sheryan, who designs your smile, a mock-up before preparation, where the lab is and whether the ceramist sees your teeth, materials and an itemised plan in writing, cases by your treating dentist, written aftercare, and no red flags. Creative Arts answers each check below.

Every dentist’s licence can be checked on the DHA Sheryan medical directory.

Take this to every clinic you compare. A clinic that does careful veneer work will answer all nine without hesitation.
| Check | How to verify it | In writing? |
|---|---|---|
| 1. DHA licence | Search the dentist's name in the Dubai Health Authority's public Sheryan directory. The licence should be active and registered at the clinic you are visiting. | The treating dentist's name on your plan |
| 2. Who designs your smile | Ask who designs the shape and who has the final say: the dentist, a ceramist, software, or you. | Designer and treating dentist named |
| 3. Mock-up before preparation | Ask at which visit you see the design in your own mouth, and whether you can still change it. | Mock-up listed as a step before preparation |
| 4. Lab location, and a ceramist who sees you | Ask where the veneers are made and whether the person making them will see your teeth for the shade. | Laboratory named |
| 5. Materials named | Ask which ceramic each tooth gets and why. "Porcelain" alone is not an answer. | Material for each tooth |
| 6. An itemised plan | Each tooth, its material, the visits, work needed first, the cost and the alternatives. | The whole plan, before you agree |
| 7. Cases by the treating dentist | Ask which cases this dentist treated, and to see one close to yours. | Not needed; seeing them is enough |
| 8. Aftercare and repairs | Review appointment, night guard, what happens if a veneer chips or comes off, and what happens if you dislike the try-in. | Aftercare and repair handling |
| 9. No red flags | None of the warning signs listed further down this page. | — |
The longer guide, how to choose a veneers dentist and clinic, explains preparation depth and shade work in more detail.
Most of the checklist fits into one well-run first visit, plus a little homework either side.
Before booking, search the dentist's name on Sheryan (check 1) and look through cases they treated (check 7).
Before bookingThree smile photos on WhatsApp let the clinic say what it would check and roughly what it might suggest. A firm price at this stage is a warning sign.
Before the visitAt the consultation, ask who designs, when the mock-up happens, where the lab is and which material each tooth would get.
ConsultationAsk for the itemised plan (check 6) and the aftercare terms (check 8) in writing. Compare clinics line by line, not by the total.
Before you agreeBefore bonding, judge the veneers in your mouth. This is your last chance to change shade or shape.
Before bondingThe DHA directory confirms that a dentist is licensed, the category of the licence (such as general dentist, specialist or consultant) and the facility they are registered with. It is the one check no clinic can answer for you, and it takes a name and a few clicks. Our guide to checking a dentist's DHA licence shows each step.
What it cannot tell you is whether that dentist plans veneers well. "Cosmetic dentist" is a description of someone's work, not a licence grade, so you will not find it as a category. That is why checks 2 to 8 exist. For judging the dentist personally, see how to judge a cosmetic dentist in Dubai.
Each of these is a reason to ask more, or to get a second opinion before anything is prepared.
If the answer to "When do I see the design?" is the preparation visit, the irreversible step comes before your approval.
Without the name of the ceramic for each tooth, you cannot compare plans or know what was made.
If nobody can name the laboratory or say whether the ceramist will see you, shade is being matched from a photograph.
A number decided before examination is a package. Many smiles show fewer teeth than a package assumes.
An offer that ends with the consultation is a sales tactic, not a clinical reason, and so is a timetable with no try-in.
So you can hold us to the same standard as any other clinic. Where you can verify an answer yourself, the last column says how.
| Check | At Creative Arts | How you can verify it |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Licence | Every dentist is DHA-licensed; their DHA Professional Unique IDs are published on their profiles. | Search their names on Sheryan from the doctors page |
| 2. Who designs | Your treating dentist leads the design with you; the ceramists at Creative Art Dental Lab build it; you approve it. | The dentist's name is on your plan |
| 3. Mock-up | A digital smile design, then a physical mock-up in your mouth, before any irreversible preparation. | You see and photograph it before agreeing |
| 4. Lab | Creative Art Dental Lab, a separate laboratory in the same building, open Monday to Saturday; the ceramist can see your teeth. | Ask for the ceramist at your shade appointment |
| 5. Materials | E.max, feldspathic, layered ceramic or composite, named tooth by tooth. | Written in your plan |
| 6. Plan | A written, itemised plan with cost and alternatives after a free first consultation. Veneers start from AED 1,250 per tooth. | Compare it line by line with any other plan |
| 7. Cases | Unretouched cases of our own patients, with the treating dentist named where shown. | The smile gallery |
| 8. Aftercare | A review appointment and written aftercare; a night guard where grinding is a risk. | Ask how a chip or debond would be handled in your case |
| 9. Red flags | No preparation at the first visit, no fixed package of teeth, no veneers made on the same day. | Your plan lists each step and visit |
The full price explanation is in the veneers cost guide.
The same nine checks work for a second opinion. Bring your plan, photographs from before and any notes on the materials. If the result looks unnatural, redoing unnatural veneers explains the options, and the veneers question hub has short answers to the rest.
Look any of them up on Sheryan before you book. Each plans the cases they fit, with the laboratory involved from the design stage.
Independent sources for readers who want the wider evidence on this topic. Study figures are averages, not a promise for any one patient.
No. The Dubai Health Authority licenses dentists and facilities; it does not rank them for veneers or any other treatment. Lists that call one clinic the top choice are usually advertising or opinion. A licence check on Sheryan, plus the other eight checks on this page, gives you a fairer basis for comparing clinics yourself.
Bring each clinic's written plan and compare the same lines: number of teeth, ceramic per tooth, preparatory work, visits, aftercare and cost. Add your mock-up photos if you have them. Totals alone mislead, because one plan may include gum treatment or whitening that the other leaves out.
No, it is usually a good sign. Photos let a clinic suggest options and a starting figure, such as veneers from AED 1,250 per tooth at Creative Arts, but gums, old fillings, decay and bite can only be judged at an examination. A firm total before anyone has seen your teeth is the bigger concern.
Ideally, yes. Results depend on the dentist who plans, prepares and bonds the veneers, so cases by another dentist at the same clinic tell you less. Ask which cases your treating dentist did and to see one close to your situation. At Creative Arts the treating dentist is named where a case shows it.
Yes. Photographs and the written plan are yours to take, and a second dentist can comment on the shape, the number of teeth and the materials proposed. A second opinion is reasonable for any irreversible cosmetic treatment, especially if two plans disagree on how many teeth need veneers.
Ask for the review appointment, whether a night guard is part of the plan, and how the clinic handles a veneer that chips, comes off or does not look right at the try-in. Policies differ between clinics, so having the answer in writing before preparation avoids disputes later.
