Quick answer

Who looks after my teeth in the UK after veneers or implants in Dubai?

Your own dentist and hygienist in the UK do the routine care: check-ups, cleaning and small repairs. Creative Arts gives you a written summary before you fly, with the material and shade of each veneer or crown, X-rays and, for implants, the system and part details. For questions afterwards you can send photos on WhatsApp or arrange a video call with the dentist who treated you.

The first weeks

What is normal in the first weeks back in the UK?

Most changes settle on their own. Message the clinic if anything below lasts longer or gets worse.

  1. Sensitivity after veneers

Mild sensitivity to cold for a few days to a couple of weeks is common, and usually fades. Sharp pain on biting is not normal and should be checked.

    First days
  2. A bite that feels high

If one tooth meets first when you close, the bite may need a small adjustment. A UK dentist can do this, or send the clinic a photo first.

    First week
  3. Speech with new edges

Some sounds can feel different for a few days after veneers. It usually settles; see speech after veneers.

    First week
  4. Implant healing

Mild soreness and swelling settle over days. Follow the written instructions, eat on the other side and do not smoke; see implant aftercare.

What should you do if a veneer chips or an implant crown comes loose in the UK?

Most problems are not emergencies. Start with a photo to the clinic, then decide together whether your UK dentist can help.

ProblemWhat to do nowWho usually helps
Veneer comes off wholeKeep it dry in a small container; do not glue it back. Send a photoOften re-bonded by a dentist if undamaged; see veneer fell off
Small chip on a porcelain veneerSmooth sharp edges are not urgent. Send a photoYour UK dentist can often polish or repair it with composite
Large break in a veneer or crownKeep the pieces; avoid biting on itUsually a new unit, made by the lab from your records
Composite veneer stained or chippedNot urgentYour UK dentist can usually polish or repair composite
Implant crown movesAvoid chewing on it; send a photoOften a loose screw: your UK dentist needs the system details
Implant sore, gum swollen or bleedingKeep it clean and contact the clinicNeeds examination soon; see signs of implant problems
Facial swelling with fever, or trouble breathing or swallowingDo not wait for the clinicUrgent care in the UK: NHS 111, or A&E if severe

Follow-up from the UK

How does follow-up by WhatsApp or video call work from the UK?

Send a clear photo in daylight with a short description to WhatsApp +971 56 677 7537. Your message reaches the clinic team, and the dentist who treated you replies or arranges a video call.

The clinic works 10:00–20:00 Dubai time, every day. Dubai is 3 hours ahead of the UK in summer and 4 in winter, so UK mornings and early afternoons overlap with clinic hours.

A video call can judge a chip, a high spot or how a gum looks. It cannot replace an examination or an X-ray, so for some problems the dentist will suggest seeing your UK dentist, or a visit on your next trip.

Long-term care

What should your UK dentist and hygienist know at routine visits?

Ceramic and implants last longer with a few small adjustments to normal care.

01

Gentle polishing on porcelain

Coarse polishing paste can dull glazed ceramic. A fine paste keeps the surface smooth.

02

The right fluoride

Acidulated fluoride gels can etch porcelain. A neutral fluoride is the usual choice around veneers and crowns.

04

X-rays at check-ups

Comparing new X-rays with the ones from Dubai shows whether bone around an implant is stable.

Planning your next visit to Dubai

If a new veneer, a remake or a review is needed, the clinic suggests appointments so you can combine it with another trip. Implant patients already have a second trip for the crown. Any new work is written in a plan before it starts; see veneers cost and implant cost. For care of implants placed elsewhere, see implants done abroad.

Who treats you

Who answers your questions after you are home?

The dentist who treated you: for veneers and smile design Dr. Duaa Emran, Dr. Kinan Bonni or Dr. Khalid Saeed; for implants and surgery Dr. Firas Osman, Dr. Khalid Saeed or Dr. Kinan Bonni. Follow-up is in English or Arabic.

Patient questions

Frequently asked questions

What records should my UK dentist get after veneers in Dubai?

A written summary listing each treated tooth, the material per tooth (E.max, feldspathic or composite), the shade, how the veneers were bonded, and your before and after X-rays and photos. Creative Arts gives you this before you fly; bring it to your first check-up in the UK and keep a copy on your phone.

What should I do if a veneer chips after I get back to the UK?

Send the clinic a daylight photo on WhatsApp. A small chip on porcelain is not urgent and can often be smoothed or repaired with composite by your UK dentist. A large break usually needs a new veneer, made from your records. Avoid biting hard on that tooth until it is checked.

Who do I contact in the UK if my face swells after dental surgery in Dubai?

Mild swelling in the first days is expected. Swelling that spreads, comes with fever, or affects breathing or swallowing needs urgent care in the UK: call NHS 111, or go to A&E if it is severe. Once you are safe, message the clinic so the surgeon knows.

Can I have follow-up appointments by video call from the UK?

Yes, for questions and reviews that can be judged by sight, such as a high spot, a chip or gum healing. Send photos on WhatsApp first; the dentist replies or arranges a call within clinic hours, 10:00–20:00 Dubai time. A video call cannot replace an X-ray or an examination.

Can a UK hygienist clean around veneers and implants done in Dubai?

Yes. Tell them which teeth have porcelain veneers or implants and show your summary. A fine polishing paste and neutral fluoride are kinder to porcelain, and implants are cleaned with instruments suited to their surface. Regular hygiene visits are the main way to protect the gum line.

My implant crown feels loose in the UK. Is that an emergency?

Usually not, if there is no swelling or fever. A crown that moves is often a loose screw rather than a failed implant. Avoid chewing on it, send the clinic a photo, and see your UK dentist with the implant system details from your summary, so they can check and tighten it.
