Quick answer

How do veneers in Dubai work if I live in the UK?

At Creative Arts in Dubai, UK patients usually start with smile photos and X-rays on WhatsApp, then a video call with a dentist. In Dubai, porcelain veneers need two main visits several days apart: design, trial smile and preparation, then fitting once Creative Art Dental Lab in the same building has made them, typically in 3–5 working days. Veneers start from AED 1,250 per tooth; your dentist confirms the schedule after examination.

Before you book

What can be decided from the UK, and what only in the chair in Dubai?

A lot can be agreed before you travel, which is what makes a short trip possible. Some things only an examination can show.

Can usually be settled from the UK

  • Whether veneers, composite bonding or whitening suit what you want to change
  • A likely number of veneers, from photos of your natural smile
  • The starting price and which materials are being considered
  • A suggested appointment schedule, so you can book flights around it
  • Your questions about shade, shape and how much tooth is prepared, on a video call

Only after the examination in Dubai

  • Decay under old fillings, cracks and bone levels, which photos cannot show
  • Gum health, which decides whether veneers can go ahead on this trip
  • Your bite and any grinding, which change thickness and material choice
  • The exact price for each tooth, written in your itemised plan
  • Whether a case needs a second trip, for example gum treatment or aligners first
In Dubai

What happens at each veneer visit, and how far apart are they?

Porcelain veneers are made by hand in Creative Art Dental Lab, so there is always a gap between preparation and fitting. Typical for a straightforward case; your dentist confirms the schedule after examination.

VisitWhat happensTypical timingWhat it means for your trip
Visit 1: examination, design and trial smileExamination, X-rays where needed, photos and a scan; your digital design is tried in your mouth as a mock-upFirst day or twoNothing irreversible happens until you approve the trial smile
Visit 1 continued: preparationMinimal preparation under local anaesthetic, or none where the case allows; scan; temporary veneersOnce the design is approvedAllow a long appointment; mild sensitivity is common afterwards
Lab daysThe ceramist layers or presses the ceramic and can see your teeth in person for the shadeTypically 3–5 working days; the lab is closed on SundayFree days in Dubai with temporaries; avoid very hard or sticky food
Visit 2: fittingTry-in, shade check in daylight, bonding, bite adjustmentAfter the lab daysKeep the next day free in case the bite needs a small adjustment
ReviewGums, edges and bite checked; photos for your recordsA day or more after fittingIdeally before you fly back to the UK

The full sequence is in the veneers procedure guide. For example day-by-day schedules, see the trip planner for UK patients.

Starting prices

What do veneers in Dubai cost for patients from the UK?

Prices are in UAE dirhams and are the same for every patient, wherever you live. The final price depends on the material for each tooth and the number of teeth.

VeneersFrom AED 1,250per tooth
Hollywood smile, 10 upper veneers (example)From AED 12,50010 teeth × AED 1,250

Choosing a material

Porcelain or composite: which veneers suit a trip from the UK?

The material changes how many visits you need and who can repair the veneer once you are home. The veneers cost guide explains how each affects the price.

01

E.max (lithium disilicate)

Pressed or milled ceramic, strong and translucent. Made in the lab, so it needs the two visits and the lab days between them. A large chip usually means a new veneer.

02

Feldspathic porcelain

Hand-layered and can be very thin, which suits minimal-preparation cases. Also lab-made over several working days; the ceramist builds the shade in layers.

03

Composite veneers

Built in the chair, usually in one long appointment, with no lab days. They need polishing over the years and can stain, but a dentist in the UK can usually repair them with composite.

04

No-prep where the case allows

Some teeth can take a thin veneer with little or no preparation. Whether yours can is decided at the examination; see no-prep veneers.

Our in-house dental lab

Your veneers are made in our own lab, in the same building

Veneers succeed or fail on shade, thickness and the edge where ceramic meets tooth. Those decisions are made between your dentist and a ceramist who can see your teeth, not from a photograph sent abroad.

  • Same buildingCreative Art Dental Lab is a separate laboratory in the same building as the clinic, open Monday to Saturday.
  • Since 1999The laboratory has operated for 27 years and, by its own published count, works for 800+ doctors and clinics in Dubai.
  • Shade seen in personFor our patients the ceramist can see your teeth under the same light as your dentist, instead of working from photographs.
  • Digital and by handDesigned on screen (CAD), milled (CAM), models and surgical guides 3D-printed, ceramic layered and stained by hand where the case needs it.
  • Typical turnaroundUsually 3–5 working days depending on complexity. It is never promised, and same-day crowns or veneers are not offered.

Back in the UK

What does your dentist in the UK need to know about your veneers?

Before you fly home you receive a written summary: which teeth were treated, the material and shade of each veneer, how they were bonded, and your before and after photos and X-rays. Your UK dentist uses this at check-ups and if anything ever needs repair.

Tell your hygienist you have porcelain veneers so they polish gently around them. If you grind your teeth, a night guard protects the ceramic.

The aftercare guide for UK patients lists every record, and what to do if a veneer chips or comes off. More on the treatment itself: porcelain veneers at Creative Arts.

Veneers before a wedding or a big event in the UK

Plan the trip so the fitting and review happen well before the event, not the week before. That leaves room for a shade or length adjustment, a second look at the bite, and time to get used to speaking with new edges. If preparatory treatment is found at the examination, the extra time is already there. See planning a wedding smile.

Patient questions

Frequently asked questions

How many days should I plan in Dubai for veneers when I fly from the UK?

For a straightforward porcelain case, a typical plan is around a week to ten days, because there are two main visits with typically 3–5 lab working days between them, plus a review. A Sunday in the middle adds a day, as the lab is closed. Your dentist confirms the schedule after examination; preparatory treatment can add days or a second trip.

Can I get a veneers quote in the UK before travelling to Dubai?

You can get a provisional plan. Send smile photos, any recent X-rays and your dental history by WhatsApp, and have a video call with a dentist. You receive likely options, a starting price from AED 1,250 per tooth and a suggested schedule. The exact itemised price comes after the examination in Dubai.

Can my dentist in the UK repair a veneer made in Dubai?

Small chips on porcelain can often be smoothed or repaired with composite by a UK dentist, and composite veneers are usually easy to repair. A large fracture normally needs a new veneer, which Creative Art Dental Lab can make again from your records. Take the written summary with materials and shade to every appointment.

Should I see my UK dentist before travelling to Dubai for veneers?

It helps. A recent check-up and X-rays can pick up decay or gum inflammation that would otherwise have to be treated in Dubai first, which can shorten your stay for the veneers. Ask your UK practice to send copies of recent X-rays, and share them on WhatsApp before you book.

Are veneer prices in Dubai different for patients from the UK?

No. Veneers start from AED 1,250 per tooth for every patient, and a Hollywood smile is calculated from that figure. The final price depends on the material for each tooth, such as E.max, feldspathic or composite, and the number of teeth, and is written in your itemised plan before treatment.

Can I fly back to the UK the day after my veneers are fitted?

Cabin pressure does not affect veneers, but it is wiser to keep a day or more after fitting for the review, in case the bite feels high or an edge needs smoothing. Flying is a different question after extractions, implants or gum surgery; see the guide to flying after dental surgery.

How can I check a Dubai dentist's licence from the UK?

Every dentist practising in Dubai must hold a Dubai Health Authority licence. You can search a dentist's name on the DHA Sheryan register online before you book. Each doctor's profile on this site also shows their DHA Professional Unique ID, so you can match the two.
