Quick answer

Can I get dental work in Dubai from the US, and how does it work?

Yes. Patients from the USA start by sending smile photos and any recent X-rays to Creative Arts on WhatsApp. A dentist suggests options, starting prices and how many trips to allow. After examination in Dubai you receive a written, itemised plan before anything irreversible is done. Veneers usually fit one longer trip; implants usually need two trips a few months apart. Check-ups continue with your dentist at home.

How does treatment at Creative Arts work for a patient flying in from the US?

The order is the same for every patient; for a long-haul journey each step is planned ahead so you make as few trips as the treatment allows.

  1. Send photos and records

Daylight smile photos, a recent panoramic X-ray or CBCT scan from your US dentist if you have one, your medicines and what you want to change, by WhatsApp or email.

    Weeks before
  2. Get a provisional suggestion

A dentist replies with likely options, starting prices, and how many trips and days to allow. It stays provisional: decay, gums and the bite cannot be judged from photos.

    Before booking
  3. Book around a suggested schedule

The clinic can share a suggested appointment schedule so you can book flights around it, with spare days for laboratory time and a review before you leave.

    Before booking
  4. Examination and written plan

Teeth, gums, bite and X-rays are checked in Dubai. You receive a written, itemised plan with each tooth, material, implant and alternative before you agree to anything irreversible.

    First visit
  5. Treatment and lab days

Veneers and crowns are made by Creative Art Dental Lab in the same building, typically over 3–5 working days. Implants are planned on a 3D CBCT scan and placed in the clinic's operating room.

    During your stay
  6. Review, records and home care

A review checks gums and bite before you fly. You take your records home, and your local dentist continues check-ups and cleaning.

Before you trust a clinic abroad

How can you check a Dubai dental clinic from the US before you book?

Checks you can make from home, before booking a flight.

01

Look up the dentist's DHA licence

Dentists in Dubai are licensed by the Dubai Health Authority. You can search a name on the Sheryan register; our guide to checking a dentist's DHA licence shows how.

04

Ask what happens after you leave

Who to contact, which records you take home and how a problem is handled from abroad. A clear answer before you travel matters more than a promise.

Worth the trip?

Which dental treatments suit a trip from the US, and which are better at home?

A long journey makes sense when the result depends on planning, design and the ceramic.

Usually suits a planned trip

  • Porcelain veneers and a Hollywood smile on healthy teeth and gums
  • Dental implants, accepting that most cases need two trips
  • In-clinic whitening or GBT cleaning added to a trip for other treatment
  • Replacing old veneers or crowns on sound teeth

Usually better near home

  • Routine fillings, check-ups and cleaning on their own
  • A tooth that hurts now: see a local dentist first
  • Braces or aligners that need regular reviews over many months
  • Gum disease that needs treatment and healing first

Americans living in the Gulf

If you live in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain or Oman, the steps and prices are the same, but coming back for separate visits, such as a trial smile before preparation or an implant healing check, may be easier. Say where you live in your first message so the suggested schedule fits. See also the guide for patients from other emirates and the GCC.

Patient questions

Frequently asked questions

Is it safe to have dental work done in Dubai as a patient from the US?

Dentists in Dubai are licensed by the Dubai Health Authority, and you can check a dentist's licence on the Sheryan register before you travel. Safety also depends on planning: an examination with X-rays, a written plan you understand, a review before you fly and a clear route for help once you are home. Ask about each before you book.

How far ahead should I contact a Dubai clinic before travelling from the US?

Send photos and records several weeks before you want to travel, ideally before buying tickets. That leaves time for a provisional suggestion, your questions and a suggested appointment schedule built around laboratory working days. Implant patients should allow extra time for a recent 3D scan and medical details to be reviewed.

Can my dentist in the US see my X-rays and plan from Dubai?

Yes. Ask for copies of your X-rays, scans and written plan before you leave, along with the materials used and, for implants, the implant system and component details. Your local dentist can then compare later X-rays and know what is in your mouth when doing check-ups or a repair.

Do patients from the US pay the same prices at Creative Arts in Dubai?

Yes. Veneers start from AED 1,250 per tooth, a Hollywood smile from AED 12,500 for 10 upper veneers or AED 25,000 for 20, and implants from AED 4,000 per implant. Where you live does not change the price; the material, number of teeth and any preparatory treatment set the figure in your written plan.

What happens if something goes wrong after I fly back to the US?

Send the clinic photos and a description on WhatsApp during Dubai opening hours; many problems, such as a high bite or a small chip, can be assessed and advised on remotely, and your local dentist can often help. Swelling with fever, or difficulty breathing or swallowing, needs a hospital emergency department straight away.
