What is Full-mouth rehabilitation?
Definition
Full-mouth rehabilitation is a planned rebuild of many or all teeth in both jaws, combining treatments such as crowns, bridges, implants, veneers, root canal and gum care to restore bite, chewing and appearance.
It is chosen when teeth are badly worn, broken, missing or the bite has collapsed, so that treating one tooth at a time would not work. At Creative Arts in Dubai, planning uses CBCT where needed, scans, photographs and a bite analysis, which can include axiography and condylography. The new bite is tested in provisional teeth before the definitive work is made at Creative Art Dental Lab, in the same building, usually over several months.
Ask how the bite will be tested before the final ceramics, how long you will wear provisional teeth, and in what order the stages will happen. Ask which dentists and surgeons are involved and who coordinates the plan. Costs are itemised in the written plan after examination.
Questions about Full-mouth rehabilitation
Why are provisional teeth worn before the final full-mouth restorations?
Provisional teeth test the new bite, tooth shape and speech in daily life before anything permanent is made. Over the following weeks the dentist checks chewing comfort, the jaw joints and muscles, and how the teeth look and sound. Adjustments are easy at this stage. Once the provisional set works, the lab copies it into the definitive ceramics.
