What is All-on-4?
Definition
All-on-4 is a technique that replaces all the teeth in one jaw with a fixed bridge on four implants, two upright at the front and two angled at the back.
It is used for people who have lost most or all teeth in an arch, or whose remaining teeth cannot be saved, and it can avoid some bone grafts by angling the back implants. The bridge is fixed; only the dentist removes it. At Creative Arts in Dubai, the arch is planned from a 3D CBCT scan, placed by the surgical team, and the definitive bridge is made in Creative Art Dental Lab, in the same building, typically 3–6 months later, with pink gingival ceramic where gum has been lost.
Ask whether your scan supports four implants or whether All-on-6 would spread the load better. Ask what temporary teeth you will wear during healing, and how you will clean under the bridge. The full arch is priced in your written plan after examination.
Questions about All-on-4
Why are the back implants angled in All-on-4?
Angling the two back implants lets them reach further back along the jaw while avoiding the sinus in the upper jaw and the nerve in the lower jaw. This uses the bone that remains and can avoid a sinus lift or bone graft in some patients. It also gives the bridge a wider base of support. The CBCT scan shows whether this is possible in your case.
