Implant pricing explained

Dental Implants Cost in Dubai

An implant quote is really four or five items: planning, the implant, the abutment, the crown or bridge, and sometimes grafting. Here is what each one is, and how to tell whether two quotes cover the same work.

  • 3D CBCT planning
  • Crowns and full-arch work made in-house
  • Itemised written plan

The plan follows an examination and 3D scan, and lists every stage separately — surgery, components, restoration and any grafting.

Quick answer

How much do dental implants cost in Dubai?

The cost of dental implants in Dubai depends on how many teeth are replaced, whether bone grafting or a sinus lift is needed, the type of abutment and the crown or bridge material — so published prices vary widely. A complete single-implant quote covers planning with a 3D scan, the implant, the abutment and the crown. Creative Arts itemises each of these in a written plan after examination.

What you are paying for

The parts of an implant tooth, and why each one is priced

A "dental implant" in everyday speech is a whole replacement tooth. Clinically, it is three components plus the work to plan and place them:

  • The implant (fixture): a titanium post placed in the jawbone. Bone grows onto its surface over typically three to six months.
  • The abutment: the connector that passes through the gum. It may be a standard part or custom-made for the gum shape; custom abutments usually cost more and often give a better emergence at the front of the mouth.
  • The restoration: the crown, bridge or full-arch prosthesis you see. Its material and how much hand-finishing it needs affect the cost, as they do for any crown.

Some quotes price only the first of these. Before comparing figures, check that the abutment and crown are included.

Cost factors

What moves the cost of implant treatment

These are the variables your plan is built from. Not everyone needs every item.

  • Number of teeth and implantsOne tooth usually needs one implant. Several missing teeth in a row can often be replaced with fewer implants carrying a bridge.
  • 3D CBCT scan and planningA cone beam scan shows bone height, width and the position of nerves and sinuses. It is needed to plan an implant safely; a printed surgical guide may be made from the plan.
  • Bone grafting or sinus liftIf the bone is too thin or too low, it has to be rebuilt first, which adds cost and months. The scan decides — see our bone grafting and sinus lift guide.
  • Extraction and timingRemoving a failing tooth, and sometimes preserving the socket with a graft at the same visit, are separate items.
  • Temporary teethA temporary tooth, bridge or denture worn while the implant integrates is part of the treatment and should be priced.
  • Abutment and restorationStandard or custom abutment; zirconia, E-max or layered crown; or a full-arch prosthesis with its framework.
Single, multiple or full-arch

How single implant, multiple implant and full-arch costs build up

The cost does not simply multiply by the number of teeth. The number of implants and the type of restoration matter more.

Single implantImplant bridge (several teeth)Full arch (e.g. All-on-4)
What it replacesOne missing toothSeveral adjacent missing teethAll teeth in one jaw
ImplantsOneUsually fewer than the teeth replacedTypically four or more per arch
RestorationOne crown on one abutmentA bridge on two or more implantsA fixed full-arch prosthesis on a framework
Grafting likelihoodDepends on the siteDepends on the sitesOften designed to reduce the need, depending on bone
Temporary teethTemporary tooth if visibleTemporary bridge or dentureProvisional arch; timing depends on the case
Relative costLowest per caseModerateHighest per case; lower per tooth

Whether teeth can be attached soon after surgery (immediate loading) depends on bone quality and implant stability, and is decided case by case, never promised in advance. Read more on All-on-4 and full-arch implants.

Comparing quotes

Five questions that make two implant quotes comparable

Implant prices in Dubai range widely. Much of that gap disappears once you know what each figure covers.

01

Is the crown included?

A low figure may cover the implant post only. Ask for the total for a finished tooth: implant, abutment and crown.

02

Which implant system, and is it traceable?

Ask which implant system will be used, whether it is widely available, and whether you will receive its details — replacement parts are needed for decades.

03

Standard or custom abutment?

Ask which abutment is planned and why. At the front of the mouth, it affects how natural the gum line looks.

04

Is the 3D scan included?

A CBCT scan is part of safe planning. Check whether it, and any surgical guide, is in the price.

05

What about grafting and temporaries?

Ask whether grafting may be needed and what the temporary tooth arrangement is. These are common later additions.

Timeline

When each part of the cost falls during treatment

Implant treatment is staged, so costs fall across several months rather than on one day. A typical single-implant sequence:

  1. Examination & 3D scan

Bone, gums and neighbouring teeth assessed; plan and alternatives written up.

    Week 1
  2. Preparation

Extraction, gum treatment or grafting if needed. Grafting can add several months of healing.

    If required
  3. Implant placement

Placed under local anaesthetic, usually in under an hour for a single implant. Temporary tooth if needed.

    Surgery
  4. Integration

Bone bonds to the implant, typically over three to six months, with a check-up during healing.

    3–6 months
  5. Abutment & crown

A scan is taken; the abutment and crown are made in our laboratory and fitted.

    Restoration
  6. Maintenance

Reviews and professional cleaning around the implant for as long as you have it.

The restoration is made in the same building

The part of an implant you see — the crown, bridge or full-arch prosthesis — is designed and made in the laboratory in the same building as the clinic. For a single front implant crown, the technician can match it to your natural teeth in person; for full-arch cases, the framework and teeth are made and checked together before fitting.

  1. 1Consultation & records — examination, photographs and the radiographs your case needs
  2. 2Digital scan — an intraoral scan replaces impression trays for most cases
  3. 3Design — the restoration or smile is designed digitally and reviewed with you
  4. 4Lab fabrication — milled from ceramic, then hand-finished for shade and texture
  5. 5Try-in — shade, shape and fit checked in your mouth, adjusted in-house if needed
  6. 6Placement & review — bonded or cemented, bite balanced, reviewed afterwards

Budget for maintenance, not just placement

Implants do not decay, but the gum and bone around them can become inflamed (peri-implantitis), which is the most common cause of late implant failure. Regular reviews, professional cleaning with instruments that do not scratch the implant surface, stopping smoking and a night guard if you grind are part of the real cost of keeping an implant.

Patient questions

Frequently asked questions

What is included in a single implant cost?

A complete single-implant cost should include the examination, 3D CBCT scan and planning, the implant placement, the abutment, the crown and the reviews. Extraction, bone grafting or a sinus lift and any temporary tooth may be additional, depending on your case. Always ask whether a quote is for the implant post only or for the finished tooth.

Why do implant prices in Dubai vary so much?

Quotes cover different scopes: some price only the implant post; some use a standard rather than a custom abutment; some exclude the scan, the crown, grafting or the temporary tooth. The implant system, the crown material and the complexity of the site also vary. Compare the itemised total for a finished tooth, not the headline figure.

How much does All-on-4 cost compared with single implants?

A full-arch treatment such as All-on-4 costs more per case than a single implant, but it replaces a whole arch of teeth on a small number of implants, so the cost per tooth is usually lower than replacing each tooth individually. The framework, prosthesis material and any provisional arch affect the total.

Do I need a bone graft, and does it add much?

Only if the 3D scan shows there is not enough bone to hold the implant securely. Grafting and sinus lifts add cost and usually several months of healing. Where the implant can be placed safely without grafting, it is not added; the scan, not a routine protocol, decides.

Does insurance cover dental implants in Dubai?

It depends on your policy; many plans limit or exclude implants, and some contribute to part of the treatment. Check with your insurer before starting. An itemised written plan with each stage described is usually what insurers ask for.

Are implants cheaper than a bridge in the long run?

Sometimes. An implant usually costs more at the start, but it leaves the neighbouring teeth untouched and, with maintenance, can last a very long time. A bridge costs less upfront but may need replacing after 10 to 15 years or more. Our implants vs bridges guide compares them in detail.

What does full mouth implant treatment cost depend on?

Whether one or both arches are treated, how many implants each arch needs, any extractions or bone grafting, and the provisional and final bridges. Each is listed separately in your written plan. See full mouth dental implants for the options.
