Will veneers look too white under office lights and on camera?
Very bright shades can look flat under the cool lighting of open-plan offices and on video calls. The shade is chosen with you during the trial smile, in natural and clinic light, and photographed so you can see it the way a camera does.
If you are unsure, a shade a little brighter than your natural teeth, rather than the brightest available, usually reads as natural on camera. Honest fit
Are veneers the right choice, or is something simpler enough?
Most veneers need a thin layer of enamel removed, so they should solve a problem simpler treatment cannot.
Veneers often make sense when
- Teeth are chipped, worn or misshapen as well as discoloured
- Old composite bonding keeps staining or chipping
- Small gaps or uneven edges spoil an otherwise healthy smile
- Whitening has not shifted deep or grey staining
Something simpler may be better when
- Colour is the only concern: in-clinic whitening from AED 699 may be enough
- Teeth are crowded: aligners first usually means less preparation
- Gums bleed or there is decay: that is treated first
- You may leave Dubai before the fitting and review
Moving away when your contract ends?
