Quick answer

Is there a dental center with its own lab in Dubai?

Yes. Creative Arts Aesthetic & Dental Center and Creative Art Dental Lab are in the same building at 614 Jumeira St, Jumeirah 3, Dubai. The dentists examine, plan and fit; the laboratory, operating for 27 years, designs and makes crowns, veneers, bridges and implant restorations, typically in 3–5 working days. Because it is in the same building, your shade can be matched in person and small adjustments made the same day.

What "in-house" means here

A dental clinic and a dental laboratory in one building

Most dental clinics send crowns and veneers out to a commercial laboratory, sometimes in another emirate or another country. At Creative Arts the laboratory that makes them, Creative Art Dental Lab, works in the same building at 614 Jumeira St. It is a separate business with its own team, and it is part of Creative Art Group.

The division of work is clear. Your dentist examines you, diagnoses, prepares the teeth and fits the final work. The laboratory designs restorations on screen (CAD), mills them (CAM), 3D-prints models and surgical guides, and hand-layers, stains and glazes the ceramic. See the full list of what the dental lab makes and how the digital design and milling workflow runs.

The lab works in feldspathic porcelain, lithium disilicate (E.max), layered and monolithic zirconia, and pink gingival ceramic; see dental ceramics for which suits which tooth.

For patients

What changes when the lab is in the same building as your dentist?

Proximity changes how decisions about your restoration are made, and how quickly a problem can be looked at.

01

Your shade is seen, not guessed

The ceramist can look at your teeth in person, under the same light as your dentist, instead of judging colour from a photograph sent by email.

02

Adjustments without a courier

If a contact point, edge or shade detail needs refining at try-in, it can often be adjusted the same day rather than shipped back and forth.

03

Dentist and ceramist talk directly

Tooth length, edge shape and how much space the ceramic needs are agreed in conversation, which matters most for veneers and full smiles.

04

Implant work planned together

For implant cases the lab can 3D-print a surgical guide from the dentist's plan and later make the crown or full-arch bridge that sits on the implants.

Shade matching

Why a shade visit to the lab matters for front teeth

A single crown or veneer next to natural teeth is one of the hardest matches in dentistry. Teeth are warmer near the gum, lighter in the body and slightly translucent at the edge, and a shade tab or photograph does not capture all of it.

  • In person: the ceramist sees your teeth, gum colour and lips, which all change how a shade reads.
  • During your visit: the lab is open Monday to Saturday in the same building, so a shade check can usually be fitted around your appointment.

Our guide to custom shade matching explains each step; it is a large part of how porcelain veneers made here blend with the teeth you keep.

Honest limits

What a same-building lab does and does not mean

A nearby laboratory is useful. It does not shorten the steps that make a restoration fit and last.

What it does mean

  • Shade checks with the ceramist during your visit, Monday to Saturday
  • Small adjustments to finished ceramic, often on the same day
  • The lab can be involved from the design stage of a smile or full-arch case
  • Any correction is looked at by dentist and ceramist together

What it does not mean

  • Crowns and veneers are not made while you wait; lab time is typically 3–5 working days
  • No step is skipped: examination, a written plan and, for veneers, a mock-up come first
  • The laboratory does not examine, diagnose or treat patients; your dentist does
  • Not every case needs ceramic; whitening, bonding or orthodontics may be the better answer
The route of your restoration

How a crown or veneer moves between the clinic and the lab

Visit numbers vary with the case. These are the stages, and where each one happens.

  1. Examination and written plan

Your dentist checks teeth, gums and bite, with imaging where needed, and gives you an itemised plan with alternatives.

    Clinic
  2. Scan, photos and design

An intraoral scan goes to the lab, where the restoration is designed digitally. For veneers you see a design and a mock-up before any preparation.

    Clinic + lab
  3. Preparation

The dentist prepares the teeth under local anaesthetic, scans again and fits temporaries where needed.

    Clinic
  4. Making the ceramic

The lab mills or presses the ceramic, then layers, stains and glazes it. A shade visit with the ceramist can be arranged at this stage.

    Lab, typically 3–5 working days
  5. Try-in, fitting and review

Fit, shade and bite are checked before bonding; small refinements can usually be made in the lab the same day.

The people

Who works in the clinic, and who works in the lab?

In the clinic: crowns, veneers and restorative cases are planned and fitted by dentists, including Dr. Khalid Saeed (co-founder), Dr. Kinan Bonni and Dr. Marina Antoniuk. Dental implants are planned and placed by the clinic's dentists and surgeon; the lab makes what sits on them.

In the laboratory: ceramists and the lab team design and make the restorations. The laboratory is part of Creative Art Group, whose CEO is Basem Tobaji, Celebrity Smile Designer, with about 30 years in the dental field. He is not a dentist and does not examine, diagnose or treat patients.

Creative Arts has also been an accredited training centre for dentists and dental lab professionals since 2008.

Patient questions

Frequently asked questions

Which dental clinic in Dubai has an in-house dental lab?

Creative Arts Aesthetic & Dental Center in Jumeirah 3 has Creative Art Dental Lab in the same building at 614 Jumeira St. Other clinics in Dubai also work with laboratories, so when you compare, ask whether the lab is on site or the work is sent out, and whether you can meet the ceramist for your shade.

What does a dental clinic with an in-house lab mean?

It means the crowns, veneers and bridges are designed and made close to where you are treated rather than sent to an outside supplier. At Creative Arts the laboratory is a separate business in the same building, so the dentist and ceramist can discuss your case directly and see your teeth in person.

Can I get crowns or veneers in one day at a clinic with its own lab?

Not at Creative Arts. Crowns and veneers are designed, milled, layered and glazed in the laboratory, which typically takes 3–5 working days depending on complexity. What the same building does allow is same-day adjustment of finished ceramic and an in-person shade check, rather than same-visit manufacture.

How long does Creative Art Dental Lab take to make crowns and veneers?

Typically 3–5 working days, depending on how many units there are and how much hand layering they need. Full-arch implant work and large smile cases take longer and are scheduled in your plan. The laboratory works Monday to Saturday, so Sunday is not counted as a working day.

Can I meet the ceramist for my shade match?

Yes, where the case calls for it. For front teeth, especially a single crown or veneer next to natural teeth, your dentist can arrange for the ceramist to see your teeth in person during a visit, Monday to Saturday. For back teeth a recorded shade and photographs are usually enough.

Does Basem Tobaji treat patients at the centre?

No. Basem Tobaji is the Celebrity Smile Designer and CEO of Creative Art Group, the group that Creative Art Dental Lab belongs to, with about 30 years in the dental field. He does not examine, diagnose or treat patients; your dentist does all clinical work.

Is treatment more expensive at a dental center with its own lab?

Cost is set by the case: the number of teeth, the material, any treatment needed first and the design work. Every patient receives a written, itemised plan with alternatives before committing, so you can compare it fairly with other quotes.

Can my own dentist send work to Creative Art Dental Lab?

Yes. The laboratory also works for outside dentists and clinics, 800+ in Dubai by its own published count, and accepts digital scans from 3Shape, Medit and most major systems. Dentists can find case submission details on the lab services for dentists page.
