Costs, explained

Cosmetic Dentistry Cost in Dubai

Cosmetic dentistry is not one treatment, so it has no single price. Here is what moves the figure, what a proper written plan includes, and how to compare two quotes fairly.

  • Written, itemised plan first
  • Alternatives costed alongside
  • Ceramic made in the same building

The first visit ends with a written plan listing each treatment, the alternatives and the cost of each line. Nothing irreversible is done that day.

Quick answer

How much does cosmetic dentistry cost in Dubai?

Cosmetic dentistry cost in Dubai depends on which treatments your smile actually needs (whitening, bonding, veneers, crowns, gum contouring or alignment), how many teeth are involved, the material, the laboratory work and any health treatment needed first. Creative Arts does not publish package prices: after an examination you receive a written, itemised plan with each treatment, its alternatives and the cost of every line.

Why a cosmetic dentistry quote is a list, not a single number

"Cosmetic dentistry" covers everything from a whitening course to a full set of ceramic veneers. Two people asking the same question about cost may need completely different things: one has healthy teeth that are simply yellow and needs only whitening; another has a chipped edge, an old stained filling and an uneven gum line, and needs three treatments in a set order. Our overview of the types of cosmetic dentistry shows how wide the range is.

That is why a useful quote is built problem by problem. Each concern you raise (colour, shape, gaps, crowding, gum line, a missing tooth) is matched with the least invasive treatment that solves it, and the plan prices each line separately. When several treatments are combined into one result, it is usually called a smile makeover, and it is priced as the sum of its parts rather than as a package.

A smile makeover here starts with an examination and a digital plan. Dr. Kinan Bonni is one of the dentists at Creative Arts who works on smile makeovers and digital smile design with the in-house lab.

Cost factors

What drives the cost of cosmetic dentistry?

Most of these are clinical decisions made at the examination, not options picked from a list.

  • The problem being fixedColour, shape, gaps, crowding and missing teeth each lead to a different family of treatment, with very different costs and lifespans.
  • How many teeth showThe number of teeth visible when you talk and smile sets the scope. Sometimes that is one tooth; sometimes it is the full smile width.
  • Material and laboratory workComposite is sculpted directly in the mouth. Ceramic veneers and crowns (E.max, feldspathic porcelain or zirconia) are designed, made and hand-finished in a laboratory.
  • Health work firstGum treatment, decay, leaking fillings or a root canal come before anything cosmetic, and appear as separate lines on the plan.
  • Planning and previewDigital smile design and a physical mock-up add a stage to veneer and crown cases, and protect you from an irreversible result you dislike.
  • Protecting the resultA night guard if you grind, and regular hygiene visits, cost far less than repairing chipped ceramic.
Comparing treatments

How the cost drivers compare across cosmetic treatments

Relative terms only: the figure for each depends on your teeth. What matters is where the cost comes from and how long you can expect the result to last.

TreatmentUpfront cost (relative)Where the cost comes fromLifespan and upkeep
Teeth whiteningLowerIn-clinic session or custom home trays, plus supervisionFades gradually with diet and habits; top-ups keep it. Does not change crowns, veneers or fillings
Composite bondingLower to moderate, per toothChair time and the dentist's layering and sculptingNeeds periodic polishing; edges and colour are refreshed after some years
Ceramic veneersModerate to high, per toothDesign, mock-up, laboratory ceramic and hand finishingOften 10–15 years or more with good care and a night guard if you grind
Ceramic crownsModerate to high, per toothFull-coverage ceramic, any core build-up, sometimes root canal firstLong-lasting; the margin and gum around it are checked at every visit
Gum contouringLower to moderateLaser soft-tissue work, set by how many teeth are reshapedUsually stable once healed; depends on why the gum line was uneven
Clear alignersModerate to highSpecialist orthodontic planning, the aligner series and retainersRetainers are worn long-term to keep teeth in place
Implant for a missing toothHighImaging, surgery, the crown, and sometimes bone graftingLong-term with good hygiene and regular checks

Lifespans are typical ranges, not promises; grinding, hygiene and bite affect them more than the material does.

How a quote is built

From first visit to written cosmetic plan

Your figure comes from an examination, not a form. This is the order it happens in at Creative Arts.

  1. Listen and examine

You explain what bothers you about your smile. The dentist checks teeth, gums, bite and existing fillings or crowns, and takes photographs.

    Visit 1
  2. Check health first

X-rays where needed show decay, leaking restorations or bone loss. Anything unhealthy is treated before cosmetic work, because it changes the plan.

    Visit 1
  3. Options, conservative first

For each concern you hear the simplest option that would work, then the alternatives, with what each involves and how long it typically lasts.

    Visit 1
  4. Written, itemised plan

Each treatment, tooth and material is listed with its cost. Where veneers or crowns are planned, a digital smile design and mock-up come before any preparation.

Comparing quotes

How to compare cosmetic dentistry quotes fairly

Ask every clinic the same questions, including us. A quote that cannot answer them is a price, not a plan.

Ask for these in writing

  • Which treatment for each concern, and why that one?
  • How many teeth, and which material for each?
  • Is a design and mock-up included before irreversible work?
  • Which health treatments are needed first, and are they on the quote?
  • What upkeep will this need, and how long does it typically last?

Treat these as warning signs

  • A fixed package offered before anyone has examined you
  • No mention of your gums, bite or existing fillings
  • The material described only as "porcelain" or "premium"
  • Only veneers offered, with no simpler alternative discussed
  • Preparation of teeth booked on the first visit

Spending less without cutting corners

The most reliable savings come from the plan itself: treating gums and decay early, whitening before matching new work, and covering only the teeth that show. Some plans can also be staged over time in a clinically sensible order; ask whether that suits yours. If an old filling is the main problem, see replacing stained front fillings, and if you already hold a quote from elsewhere, our guide to a second opinion explains what to bring.

Patient questions

Frequently asked questions

Is cosmetic dentistry covered by insurance in Dubai?

Treatment done purely for appearance, such as whitening or veneers, is usually treated as cosmetic by insurers. Where a tooth also needs restoring for a clinical reason, some policies may view part of the work differently. Check directly with your insurer using the itemised plan, which lists each tooth, the treatment and the reason for it.

What is the cheapest cosmetic dentistry option?

Usually professional cleaning and stain removal, then whitening, then composite bonding. They are only good value if they solve your actual concern: whitening cannot change shape, and bonding cannot fix crowding. The examination tells you whether a lower-cost option will genuinely work for your teeth, and the plan prices it alongside the alternatives.

Why doesn't Creative Arts publish cosmetic dentistry prices?

Because a menu price only describes a treatment in the abstract. The cost of your cosmetic dentistry depends on which treatments you need, how many teeth, the material and whether health problems need treating first. A published figure would also push everyone towards the same treatment. You receive a written, itemised plan after examination instead.

Does cosmetic dentistry cost more if I need gum or filling work first?

The total does include that work, but it is not optional extra spending: veneers, crowns or bonding placed on inflamed gums or over leaking fillings tend to fail early, which costs more in the end. Preparatory treatment appears as separate lines on your plan so you can see exactly what it is for.

Is a smile makeover priced as one package?

No. A smile makeover combines treatments chosen for each problem, so it is priced as the sum of those lines. The number of teeth involved and the material for each matter most. Our smile makeover cost page explains how those combined plans are built.

Can cosmetic dentistry be done in stages to spread the cost?

Sometimes. Health treatment comes first, and some cosmetic steps can follow later without compromising the result, for example whitening now and bonding afterwards. Other work, such as a set of veneers designed together, is best done in one phase so shape and shade match. Ask at your assessment whether staging suits your plan.

Is cosmetic dentistry in Dubai more expensive than abroad?

Headline figures abroad can be lower, but compare the whole cost: travel, accommodation, time off, how many teeth are prepared, and what happens if a veneer chips or a gum problem appears after you return. Our guide to the Hollywood Smile in Dubai vs Turkey walks through those trade-offs.
