Hospital emergency department
Breathing or swallowing difficulty, spreading facial swelling with fever, a facial injury with possible fracture, or bleeding that will not stop.
Toothache, a broken or knocked-out tooth, a swollen gum: call or WhatsApp us first. The clinic on Jumeira Street is open every day from 10:00 to 20:00, and we tell you honestly how soon we can see you.
Phone +971 4 342 4444 or WhatsApp +971 56 677 7537 during opening hours. A photo of the problem helps us advise you.
Creative Arts, at 614 Jumeira St, Jumeirah 3, Umm Suqeim 1, Dubai, sees urgent dental problems during its opening hours, every day from 10:00 to 20:00. It is not a 24-hour service. Call +971 4 342 4444 or WhatsApp +971 56 677 7537 before you travel, describe the problem and send a photo if you can; the clinic will tell you when it can see you. Facial swelling with difficulty breathing or swallowing needs a hospital emergency department.
Swelling of the face or neck with difficulty breathing, swallowing or opening your mouth; swelling spreading towards the eye or down the neck, especially with fever; a head injury, loss of consciousness or a possible broken jaw; or bleeding that does not stop after 20 minutes of firm pressure on a folded gauze. Hospital care comes first; dental treatment follows once you are safe.
General first-aid guidance while you contact us. It does not replace an examination.
| Problem | What to do now | What usually happens at the clinic |
|---|---|---|
| Knocked-out adult tooth | Hold it by the crown, rinse briefly if dirty, push it back into the socket or keep it in milk. Call immediately — minutes matter | Tooth repositioned and splinted; root canal treatment is often needed later |
| Knocked-out baby tooth | Do not put it back. Control bleeding with gauze and bring the child to be checked | Check of the gum and the adult tooth developing underneath |
| Broken or chipped tooth | Keep any fragment in milk or water, rinse your mouth, cover sharp edges with sugar-free gum | Bonding, a temporary cover or, for deeper breaks, root canal and a crown |
| Severe toothache | Take an over-the-counter painkiller as the packet directs; never hold aspirin against the gum | Examination and X-ray; the nerve may be treated or the tooth temporarily dressed |
| Swollen gum or face | Cold compress on the outside of the face; no heat. Check the hospital red flags above | Drainage where possible, root canal or extraction; antibiotics only when indicated |
| Lost crown or veneer | Keep it safe and dry; avoid chewing on that side. Do not glue it yourself | Re-cemented if intact; if not, a new one is planned with the lab in the same building |
| Bleeding after an extraction | Bite firmly on folded gauze for 20 minutes; do not rinse or spit | Socket checked, dressed or stitched as needed |

Calling first avoids a wasted trip and lets us prepare for the problem you describe.
Tell us what happened, when it started, whether there is swelling or fever, and your medical conditions and medicines. A clear photo helps.
FirstReception and the dentist judge urgency, give first-aid advice and offer the earliest suitable time. If hospital care is safer, we say so.
Same callThe tooth, gum and bite are examined, with an X-ray where it changes the decision.
At the clinicUnder local anaesthetic the immediate problem is treated: an infected nerve opened and dressed, a fracture covered, a tooth splinted or a crown re-cemented.
Same visitIf a crown, root canal completion or replacement tooth is needed, you receive a written plan with the cost and alternatives before anything further is done.
AfterwardsNot every dental problem is urgent, and some are hospital problems rather than dental ones.
Breathing or swallowing difficulty, spreading facial swelling with fever, a facial injury with possible fracture, or bleeding that will not stop.
A knocked-out or loosened permanent tooth, severe or throbbing toothache, a swollen gum or possible tooth abscess, or a painful broken tooth.
A small chip that does not hurt, a lost filling without pain, brief mild sensitivity, or a loose baby tooth that is due to come out.
The clinic is closed between 20:00 and 10:00 and does not run an overnight emergency line. If you have any of the hospital red flags above, go to a hospital emergency department straight away. For pain that is severe but not dangerous, take an over-the-counter painkiller as the packet directs, keep your head raised, use a cold compress for swelling and avoid very hot or cold food on that side.
A knocked-out adult tooth cannot wait until morning: replant it or keep it in milk and find the nearest dentist or emergency department open at that time. For other problems, send us a WhatsApp message with a photo; it is read when the clinic opens at 10:00, so you can be fitted in as early as the schedule allows. Our dentist open every day page explains the seven-day hours.
Patients reach us from Jumeirah 1, 2 and 3, Umm Suqeim, Al Wasl, Al Safa and Al Manara. Open the clinic in Google Maps for directions and ask about parking when you call. Families can also see our family dentist in Jumeirah page for children's injuries, or the dentist in Umm Suqeim page for visit details.
Urgent visits are seen by the general dentists on duty; infected or cracked teeth needing root canal treatment can be treated under a dental microscope.
Creative Arts is not a 24-hour emergency dentist. The clinic is open every day from 10:00 to 20:00 and sees urgent problems within those hours. Outside them, go to a hospital emergency department for anything dangerous, and message us on WhatsApp for anything that can wait until the morning.
Yes, the clinic keeps the same hours, 10:00 to 20:00, on every day of the week, including Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Call or WhatsApp first so the team can judge urgency and offer the earliest suitable time on that day's schedule.
For an adult tooth, hold it by the crown, rinse it briefly if dirty, and put it back in the socket or keep it in milk. Do not scrub or dry it. Call the clinic straight away. Never replant a baby tooth; bring the child to be checked instead.
Go to a hospital emergency department if facial or neck swelling makes it hard to breathe, swallow or open your mouth, if swelling spreads towards the eye or neck with fever, after a head or jaw injury, or if bleeding continues after 20 minutes of firm pressure.
Not necessarily. The first aim is to relieve pain and keep the tooth where it can be saved, for example by treating the nerve, covering a fracture or splinting a loosened tooth. Extraction is considered when a tooth cannot be restored, and the alternatives are explained before any decision.
If the crown or veneer is intact and the tooth beneath is sound, it can often be re-cemented at the visit. A broken one needs a new restoration, which the laboratory in the same building makes over several working days; a temporary cover protects the tooth meanwhile.
Bring any piece of tooth, crown or veneer that came off, a list of your medicines and medical conditions, and recent dental X-rays if you have them. Tell the dentist which painkillers you have already taken and when.
Tell us what you would like to change. The clinic replies within working hours with an appointment time.
